How To Live A Good Relationship

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

By Victor C. If you are in a relationship with somebody, you should know that if you have a relationship of trust, confidence and respect, you are destined to have and good and healthy relationship. But what do you call an unhealthy relationship? This is when you feel fear, self-doubt, anger, etcetera. When couples have this kind of problem, they try everything in order to make their relationship work, However, This is a problem of two and you cant start blaming each other, you have to look for a solution together. If you have been friends with your partner for one or two years, or have just met somewhere even on the internet, you need to know that at some point all that love will pass. Maybe you need to wait until you are married to know each other as it should be, and after that happens, and some love leaves, this is where the real test begins, the testing to know if you can keep taking care of each other for more years or you want to call it quits. This is not easy. Having read a lot of cases and having talked to many friends, one thing I can tell you is that the techniques to try to save a relationship are numerous; And Its always different from one couple to another. Believe me when I tell you that sometimes they only tip that people use is: communication. They say that if you have a good communication with your partner, the relationship can be saved. However, some couples go to specialists for long time only to find out that they are not made for each other. If they are intelligent people and open minded, they can just leave at that point without problem. Some friends say that if you want to love somebody you have to love yourself first. Personally I think that it doesnt matter if you dont love yourself too much, you CAN love somebody with all your heart. One of the best advises that I have heard in my life is that if youre trying to maintain a relationship healthy, you have to be honest as much as possible. This might seem obvious and sometimes absurd, but you wont believe how many problems dishonesty can carry. I can tell you that since I was fifteen years old I started to hear that its better if you tell the truth now even if it can hurt the other person than not saying anything and being lying all the time just because you dont want to hurt her/him. So be honest and you see even if you suffer for a little while, later on youll be compensated with someone special. ====================================================== Victor C. is an Engineer in Computer Systems who loves to read and write about any subject, as long as it’s interesting and useful for the reader. Natural Toe Nail Fungus Cure

Monday, July 30th, 2007

By Ray Rice In 1996, I contracted a bad case of athletes feet which I must gotten at the WMCA in Cincinnati, OH where I went swimming every week. I made the mistake of letting my athletes feet condition go until my feel were really eaten up with fungus. I also noticed some type of Toe Nail Fungus in my left and right large toe nails, which at first, I didn’t really pay much attention to. In 1997 I finally bought some Lamisil cream to treat my athletes feet. After applying it for about 2 weeks, my athletes feet fungus was gone. Since it worked so well on the athletes feet condition, I thought it would work as well on getting rid of the Toe Nail Fungus so I applied it to my toe nails for the next year, but saw no improvement. In 1998, I went to my family doctor and asked him what he would recommend I do about this condition. He asked me if my toe nails hurt and I told him they didn’t. He said that I could take anti fungal pills like Lamisil, but they were expensive… $10.00 per day for 3 months and they sometimes had undesirable side effects or I could just let it go and live with it like millions of other people. So, I decided not to take the anti fungal pills and tried using every type of anti fungus treatment I could find in drugs stores and on the internet and NONE OF THEM WORKED. Meanwhile my Toenail Fungus condition kept getting worst and worst. In 2003, I moved to Florida and was barefoot most of the time. My toenail fungus infection had gotten so bad in both my large toes that they were yellowed and thick with fungus. And they not only looked bad, they HURT! So in April of 2004 I went to a podiatrist with the intention of requesting a prescription for Anti Fungal Tablets (my last resort). He talked with me about my toe nail infection ( the medical term for toenail fungus is “onychomycosis” ) and how it can actually become life threatening if left untreated. He also told me about the possible side effects of taking prescription tablets and how after his mother- in-law took prescription tablets for a month or so, she lost her sense of taste! He explained that everything she ate, “tasted like cotton”. This really sounded scary and made me not want to take any pills. He said that there was another alternative treatment which worked for some of his patients which I could try first before resorting to taking the Tablets, which by the way cost (at the time) approximately $10.00 per day for 3 months - (about $900. for the 3 month period). I did considerable research over the next week on the internet and came of with a plan of attack to get rid of my Toenail Fungus which also included my doctors suggestion. I have a background in Electronics Engineering and problem solving, so I put my skills to work and came up with a regiment which worked so well that I could hardly believe it! In three months, almost all of the fungus was gone from my toe nails and in 8 months, after my new nails had grown in, my toes were FUNGUS FREE! What a joy to finally be rid of those ugly, embarrassing toe nails. And the best part is that they have remained FUNGUS FREE to this day June20, 2006 and I didn’t have to resort to taking those expensive pills. After my toe nail infection disappeared and my new clear nails had grown in, I went back to see my Doctor When I showed him how my nails had cleared up, he was amazed! Biggest Budget Blunders

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

By Cheryl Johnson Does your budget never seem to balance the way it should? Are you constantly digging into the savings to make ends meet? If you find that your budget isn’t doing the job, then it’s time to take a good look at essential components you might be missing or you have not allowed sufficiently for. Some of the biggest budget blunders are . . . . . . 1. Failure to plan for inevitable expenses We all have irregular expenses that we naively refer to as “unexpected.” Come on, is that flat tire really unexpected? Don’t you secretly know that these things happen? Have you ever owned a car that did not need repairs or maintenance? If you have, you probably didn’t own it long enough. The solution; Start counting on the car breaking down instead of hoping it doesn’t! The car isn’t the only area we slight in the budget. Do you find yourself hoping and praying that the hot water heater, washer, dryer, or some other major appliance doesn’t need to be repaired or, worse yet, replaced. Home maintenance is always a factor in our finances. Even if you rent, you probably have some home related expenses waiting to creep up on you. These are just a couple examples of variable expenses that we often overlook. When you consider the following other categories that could be included in this list, you can see the serious consequences this oversight can have on your budget. . . Property, Auto, Health and Life Insurance if not paid on a monthly schedule. Even if you do pay monthly, you should try to save for a lump payment if at all possible. Most companies charge up to a $3 fee for monthly payment options. It doesn’t sound like a lot but, over a years time it’s $36 you won’t be investing in their cause. I say, it’s always best to invest in yourself. Don’t you agree? Put the $36 in your savings! Taxes - Property, Federal, and State - If you know you will have to pay Uncle Sam, prepare for it. If you value your home or other property investment, prepare for the costs. Don’t scramble at the last minute to come up with enough to pay your obligations. It’s likely other areas of your budget will suffer greatly, since these expenses have a high priority. Clothing - Now, I can wear a piece of clothing ’til you can see through the threads. I work at home, so I only have a few choice pieces for special occasions. I’m a no frills kind of gal. But, I have four kids. Do I expect them to stop growing or somehow not care how they look to their peers? Of course not! But, I’m working on it. Just kidding! I know that they will need more clothes, more shoes, more accessories….etc., etc., etc., etc….. I use every resource available to me to cut down the clothing budget, I know I must account for this expense. It will arise, whether I am prepared or not! School Supplies - This is another one you just can’t omit if you have kids. You can, however, use some clever money saving techniques and multiple resources to keep this expense to a minimum. Pet Care - If you have a pet, you most likely have expenses that come with this beloved family member. Vaccinations, flea control, veterinarian, and food are just a few that come to mind. Again, minimize the costs by using all your resources. Tip: My local county animal shelter gives rabies vaccines for $5. Good for three years if regularly vaccinated. Does yours? Gifts - If your friends, family, and kids don’t care if they don’t get gifts from you, if you’ve declared war on the holidays, or have a convenient hiding place when these occasions take place, then you can skip this one! I’m guessing most of you are including this one. It’s inevitable. My best advice is to set strict limits and be a smart shopper. Seek out the bargains and buy when it’s a deal, even if it’s months ahead of time. Medical - Unless you’re lucky enough, or not lucky (depending on how you look at it), to qualify for medical assistance, you undoubtedly have medical expenses over and above the cost of your health insurance; Co-pays for doctors and medicines, over-the-counter medications, dental and eye care expenses. Nope, can’t omit it, have to include it. Sorry, it’s a must have! Vacation - If you have the income, include this one to make planning less stressful. Get inventive if you don’t have enough income. You can still have a vacation with limited, or no, travel expenses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2. No Emergency Fund… . . .or misconceptions about what warrants an emergency. An emergency is this case should be limited to an unexpected occurrence. No, if you’ve been listening, having to replace the water pump on your car is not an emergency. A real emergency might include; loss of income, severe illness, or death in the family. Although we all hope such occurrences never happen to us, sometimes we aren’t lucky enough to escape these unfortunate events in life. You should try to set aside a specific amount, no matter how little, each month in an emergency fund to eventually equal at least three to six months of your current income. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3. Living Above Your Means. This is simply spending more than you earn. Unfortunately, this is a direct consequence of budget blunders #1 and #2. When funds are not set aside for variable expenses and emergencies, you will inevitably turn to plastic money (credit cards) to bail out. Spending more than you earn is a sure sign that you’re headed for trouble. When you spend future earnings it’s like “counting your chickens before the eggs hatch.” The long term consequences are usually devastating. It’s likely you’ll end up in deep debt and eventually have no where to turn except counseling or bankruptcy. Don’t let it get that far. Take control of your money. Now! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you’ve been making these budget blunders, you’re probably exhausted just considering all the work you have to do on your budget. I’m exhausted just writing about it. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll be on the path to a really successful budget. Add up all your variable expenses and divide by twelve to come up with a monthly amount that you should be setting aside for this expense. Keep these funds separate from your monthly bill fund to avoid dipping into it accidentally. Start with 5-10% of your income to start a savings, or apply to an existing savings, each month for your emergency fund. Make sure your expenses are within your income. If not, start reviewing, eliminating, and reducing those expenses to fit into your income limits. A good budget is like a good friend. It helps keep you strong and steady. The Low Carb Craze and Other Dieting Mistakes

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

By Bill Belfert Dear BMTers, Low carb this and low carb thatthats all you hear nowadays. Kinda reminds me of something that was the craze a few years agoThe Low or No Fat CrazeCan you remember where that got us? Still Fat!!! Well my friends this Low Carb Craze is going to bring us to the same exact placeYepStill Fat! Listen, anyone who tries Low carb dieting will experience some Short Term successbut its only short term. I know some of you are tired of hearing me repeat myself but any diet or exercise machine in and of itself will not work! A successful Fitness Program must incorporate 5 Strategies: 1. A Compelling Reason to Change 2. Proper Nutrition 3. Progressive Resistance Training 4. Moderate Aerobic Exercise 5. Consistency If youre missing any one of these strategies you will not experience the success that you crave. Why the Low Carb diets without Progressive Resistance Training will not work in the long run. We need to build lean muscle on our bodies. Why do we need to build lean muscle on our bodies? Building lean muscle will boost metabolism and that is what we want to achieve. Youll even start burning more calories even while you rest. Right now Im going to let you in on one of the biggest secrets on burning fat ever revealed: Lean Muscle Burns Fat! And, the more lean muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. That is a statement that you can take to the bank! I guarantee it! Listen, all these people that go on these Fad diets are really losing water and lean muscle weight. They Are Not Losing Any Fat Whatsoever! How can they be if I just got finished telling you that in order for us to lose any fat,(and I did mean any fat!) you must have lean muscle tissue for the fat to go be burned up in? Our bodies are smart; our fat just cant go away it must be burned up in a muscle cell. And if youre not doing any Progressive Weight Resistance Training, well then, youre not building any new lean muscle tissue. Which means, you guessed ityou wont be burning fat any time soon!!! Dont you see? The people that go on these Fad (starvation) diets turn into skinny fat people. Sure they lose weight, but they lose the wrong kind of weight. Since these people usually dont perform any weight resistance training and are only probably taking diet pills, and doing hours of aerobic exercise, they are losing water (from the low calorie, low carb diet) and lean muscle (from doing to much aerobic exercise and not having the right amount and the proper ratios of food in their bodies). So what is left? FAT!!! They have no muscle tone whatsoever! What these people should be doing is learning how to lift weights and get stronger progressively! The only way to do that is Get A Little Stronger Each And Every Workout If youre not getting stronger each and every workout than you are doing something wrong! Then all you have to do is add: A Compelling Reason to Change, Proper Nutrition, Moderate Aerobic Exercise, and Consistency to be Successful A great example of dieting the wrong way in my opinion is Anna Nicole Smiths recent weight loss. From a distance she looks great! But get closer and clear the smoke and you will find that she transformed herself into what I explained before a skinny fat person. Did you hear her interviewed lately on shows like Larry King Live and Regis and Kelly? She says she takes Trim Spas Ephedra Free Diet Pills. And she eats like only once per day if shes lucky. And I would bet my life, kids, wife, and the house that she never ever does a workout with weights on a consistent basis!!! So lets see what happened Most people think that to lose excess body fat, they must stop eating altogether. This is where they are totally wrong. Starvation(what else would you call not eating?) triggers a metabolic response where, your metabolism will actually slow down and become more efficient in order to preserve body tissue in the case of a shortage of future nutrition. This is precisely what we dont want. Another way people think theyre eating right is having fruit & coffee for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a bowl of pasta for dinner. Nope, thats not the answer either. Some people dont eat anything the whole day and save themselves for a big huge dinner! Thats not the answer either. To find the answer, you have to think back to caveman days. Back then, there were no supermarkets or convenience stores to easily get whatever you want and whenever you want it. The caveman didnt know when his next meal was coming. He only ate when he made the big kill and would literally gorge and overstuff himself until he couldnt move! Why? Because he knew that he might not eat again for days or even worseweeks. What this did was make our bodies very bad at processing our food. Since our bodies didnt know when we were going to eat next, they were forced to revert into something known as Survival Mode Whenever you eat, your digestive system converts most of your food(especially large amounts of carbohydrates) to glucose (blood sugar). Its a very complicated process but Ill do my best to sum it up in a nutshell Anytime we eat while were in survival mode, because of the molasses-pace the metabolism is at, the body converts most of the glucosein conjunction with the hormone insulinto fat. This is why people who constantly starve themselves can gain weight while eating only once a day! Wed like to speed up our metabolism, but unfortunately over thousands and thousands of years our bodies havent changed much from the days of the cave man. Every time we eat, our bodies are already automatically going to convert it to fateven if its fat free! Wheres the justice??? So how do we change our body from fat storer to fat burner? We have to learn to use proper nutrition. So the question iswhat is proper nutrition? OK in a nutshell, my idea of proper nutrition is 4 to 5 portion-controlled, balanced meals about every 3 hours throughout the day. By eating this way throughout the day, youll effortlessly speed up your metabolism. Think of it this way. If you have a campfire burning and you dont add wood to the fire, eventually the campfire will burn out. But if you add a little wood every few hours, the campfire will continue to burn, and burn nice and hot! So you see, the human metabolism is like the firenever or rarely feed it, and it will slow down. Feed it every few hours and it has no choice but to speed up. What Is A Portion-Controlled Meal You Ask? A portion-controlled meal is sensible portion of a lean protein, a sensible portion of a starchy carbohydrate, and a sensible portion of a fibrous carbohydrate. Lean protein foods: - Skinless chicken breast - Skinless turkey breast - Tuna fish - Most fish in general - Egg whites - Protein powder Starchy carbohydrates: - Sweet potato - Potato - Rice - Pasta - Oatmeal - Whole grain wheat bread Fibrous Carbohydrates: - Corn - Broccoli - Cauliflower - Asparagus - Peppers Here are a few examples of a portion-controlled meal: Chicken breast with corn & rice Lean steak with potato & broccoli Fish with rice & salad Chicken pita sandwich Egg white omelet with mushrooms & oatmeal or farina A “typical” day of eating on Bare Minimum Training might be : 7:00am: egg white omelet and oatmeal 10:00am: yogurt with cottage cheese 1:00 pm: tuna pita sandwich 4:00 pm: mushroom turkey burger on a whole grain bun 7:00 pm: Salmon with rice 8 8-ounce glasses of spring water (throughout entire day) So you see if Anna Nicole Smith does not start to implement Proper Nutrition and a sound fitness program like Bare Minimum Training Shes setting yourself up for Failuresure she has short term success but eventually shell gain all the weight back!!! I hope she doesnt gain the weight backbut she must change her ways if theres any hope for long term success. Take care, Bill Belfert Copyright 2004 - 2005. How To Calculate Your Whiplash Claim

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

By Mumtaz Shah How much is the pain and discomfort of your whiplash injury worth? A fair question, after all a whiplash injury is painful so you should be compensated accordingly. Unfortunately, however, the level of compensation you get for your injury following an accident will depend on a number of variable factors. The Whiplash Compensation Claim The first of the variable factors will depend on how you make your whiplash injury claim. If you make a compensation claim directly against the insurance company, then you will likely be compensated in accordance with the settlement agreement you make with the insurance company. However, if you decide to seek the advice of a compensation solicitor to handle your whiplash compensation, then you could be entitled to compensation categorised as (i) General Damages and (2) Special Damages. General Damages For Whiplash The overall amount that you may be entitled to under General Damages is difficult to determine as it is paid for the physical pain and suffering (i.e. the actual damage such as a whiplash neck injury or something more serious) that you encounter as a direct result of the accident you had. You may also be allowed to claim for emotional pain and loss of enjoyment of life as part of General Damages. Finally, if the pain and suffering you encounter as a result of your injury causes you to suffer psychological disorders, such as depression, then this may also be included in your compensation claim. Although General Damage sums awarded by a court will be dependant on their set guidlelines, the details of your medical report detailing the extent of the whiplash, the actual injuries caused, and the possible harm it has had on your emotional state will, all play a pivotal part in the whiplash injury claim. Special Damages For Whiplash Unlike General Damages, Special Damages can be fixed to some degree and are payable to you as a result of you having encountered certain special losses because of the accident. In particular, Special Damages are payable on any loss of earnings (including any potential loss of future earnings as a result of the accident) you may have to endure while you recover from the accident; car hire expenses you have to pay as a result of your car being in the repair shop; if you have to pay someone to look after you while you recover from your whiplash, these can be recovered; and if you have paid for medical attention to treat the injury, you can also include these in your claim. If you want to claim for Special Damages you need to keep a careful track of all the payments you have made and where possible you’ll need to have receipts. Insurance Settlement If you decide that you do not want to make a whiplash injury compensation claim through the courts, then you need to agree to enter into a settlement agreement with the insurance company. In this case you need to make sure you read the terms of the settlement agreement very carefully as insurance settlement claims usually contain provisions (1) that the insurance company can pay you in instalments, rather than a one-off lump-sum payment; (2) that once you have been paid the whiplash compensation by the insurance company you cannot reopen the claim in the future to try and get some more money and agree to no longer hold the insurance company liable for any future cost or loss. Limitation Period To Bring A Claim If you have recently suffered a whiplash injury, then you have a period of 3 years from the date of the injury in which to bring proceedings to court. If you fail to bring your whiplash claim to the courts within this time you will have forfeited your right to make a claim. Whiplash Injury Solicitor Whether you have suffered a neck injury, back injury, or bruising, in order to know exactly what your rights are you should seek a consultation with a personal injury solicitor or lawyer as soon as you can following the accident and in any case before you agree to sign any settlement agreement with any insurance company as they are not obligated to tell you what your legal rights are but also what compensation you should be entitled to. It’s easy to proceed with a whiplash compensation and gain maximum results without the hassle, costs and confusion. Lose Weight at a Fairly Rapid Pace After Stomach Stapling Surgery

Monday, July 16th, 2007

By Frith Ferguson After you have your stomach stapling surgery your surgeon or doctor may have told you that you will lose weight at a fairly rapid pace. Buying Your First Home After Marriage

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

By Kelly Kennedy If you are doing some family planning and need to buy a house or just looking for something new, buying your first home can be exciting but there is a lot to know. Buying a home will depend on real estate laws and customs where you are located but there are basic steps that every first homebuyer needs to accomplish. Step 1- Money management Establishing credit is very important especially when you are looking to purchase a large investment like a house. Your credit reports reflects how you are doing with money management. After marriage you will need to study your spouses and your credit report and your financial history so you are familiar with it before applying for a mortgage. These reports will be needed for the mortgage approval process in finding out the interest rate and other loan terms. Step 2- Familiarize yourself with the mortgage industry Do your research. Money management isnt only about managing your money; you need to be confident in who is handling your money as well. Finding the right loan and lender is extremely important to your home buying success. Choose the lender that is best for your needs but be sure to understand the loan process as much as you can before talking to a lender so you dont feel completely lost. Step 3- Get pre-approved for a mortgage Once you talk with a lender, you should be given an estimate of how much you can afford for a house. Being pre approved can help you in a variety of ways. So if a home seller gets two offers, one being yours with a pre approved letter from your bank saying you have been approved for the amount offered, and then there is the other person with no letter, your chances of getting the house are much better. Step 4- After marriage determine what you want and what you need Buying a home isnt as challenging as most think. If you familiarize yourself with the real estate market and narrow down what you want and need before buying a house the process will run a lot smoother. Be sure to understand agent duties and devotion because some real estate agents represent buyers, sellers, or both or depending on the state they can work as neutral facilitators for either party. Step 5- After marriage start searching for your new home Once you get married and start considering family planning, youll need to search for the home that is right for you. Your agent will most likely give you multiple listing sheets to review. You might have also picked up a real estate magazine in your area and found a house through that, shop online, or find ads in the newspaper. Other ideas can be driving around the neighborhoods that have houses for sale. Perhaps you are doing some family planning and need a bigger home then you have been in the past or you might just need a house just big enough for yourself. Either way you look, consider these home buying search tools in your search. Home buying search tools 1. Consider houses that others may overlook 2. Get out there to see whats out there 3. Look into public versions of multiple listing service web sites 4. Search for real estate agent web sites 5. Browse real estate search engines and networks 6. Find for sale by owner properties 7. Look at magazine and newspapers in print 8. Find foreclosed homes Step 6- Handle pre-offer tasks When looking at houses be sure to look at its structure and features which can help determine if its something you want or not. Step 7- Put in an offer There’s no one specific set of instructions that cover all the differences in real estate laws and customs that exist throughout the United States, so when putting in an offer on a house, it will depend on your location. Step 8- House inspections and other tests Some states allow home inspections before the final contract is signed where as in other states inspections take place after the contract is signed. No matter when you have to do them, it’s very important to decide which inspections and tests you want done. Discuss with your real estate agent or if you dont have one, then an advisor to find out when inspections should happen and if additional types of testing are needed for a specific area. Step 9- Avoid having to correct last minute problems As the closing date approaches, everyone involved in your real estate transaction should be checking the progress on a daily basis. That way if a problem arises it can be taken care of right away. Step 10- Closing Closing, also called settlement, is the event that transfers ownership of the property from the last owner to you. Marriage brings about very new and exciting events, this is just one. Happy house hunting!
