War in Heaven

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By Mike Bradley This next event, a war in heaven, will not be able to be seen with the naked eye by the people still left on the earth as the 7 year Tribulation starts to unfold. What happens in this next incredible event is that Satan and his angels are cast out of “heaven” and cast down onto the earth by St. Michael and his army of angels. There will literally be a war in the “heavens” between Gods angels and the Devil and his fallen angels. To really understand what is happening with this war in heaven, you need to know that there are apparently three “heavens.” The apostle Paul says that he was taken up to the third heaven - Paradise, where I believe he encountered Jesus and possibly God the Father. He says he does not know if he was in his body or out of his body when he had this experience. Here is the verse:”It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows - such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows - how he was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which is not lawful for a man to utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:1-4)Many believe that Paul was talking about himself - that he was the one who had the experience. If this verse is telling us that there is a third Heaven, then there must be a first Heaven and a second Heaven. If God and Jesus live in the third Heaven, then the first Heaven has to be our earth. The second heaven then has to be the “air” or the atmosphere between heaven and our earth. Satan is called the prince of the power of the “air” in the Bible. This is where he and his demons live and roam in. I believe Satan and his fallen angels were cast out of the third Heaven where God and Jesus live long before we humans were ever created. Satan had rebelled against God before we were created and thus was cast out of the third Heaven down into the second Heaven - the Air. The Bible calls Satan the “prince of the power of the AIR.” Here is the verse that specifically tells us this: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.” (Ephesians 2:1-2) Satan is not confined to the bottomless pit or the lake of fire and brimstone at this time. He is free to roam in the “air” until Jesus comes back for His second coming. After Jesus comes back, Satan is then thrown into the bottomless pit for a 1000 years and then eventually into the lake of fire and brimstone at the end of the 1000 Millennium Kingdom. What happens in this event is that Satan is cast from the second heaven down to the first heaven - which is the earth. The Bible says he really gets mad when this event occurs because he knows he has but little time left before Jesus comes back for His second coming to throw him into the bottomless pit. The Bible then says woe to the people still left on the earth when this event happens - for Satan will then start to release his wrath upon the earth! He first goes after the Jewish people, but God will provide protection for 1/3 of the Jews so he wont be able to kill all of them. The Bible then says that he will then turn his attention to the rest of Gods people - the saints in Christ - and this is where you get the 42 months that Gods saints will allowed to be given into the hand of the Devil and the Antichrist for persecution. The war in heaven will probably occur right around the midpoint of the Tribulation. This event may also explain why the Antichrist, all of a sudden in the middle of the Tribulation, breaks off his peace treaty with the Jews and proceeds to sit himself in the Jewish Temple proclaiming himself to be God - and then starts the mass persecution of the Jewish people and Gods saints. Some people actually think Satan himself may possess the Antichrist at this time since he has now been officially cast down onto the earth. Why would God cast the Devil out of the second heaven? Why not just wait till His Son comes back and then cast him into the bottomless pit from the second heaven? I believe that when Jesus comes back the second time, He will start His descension from the third Heaven where He now resides. He will then pass through the second heaven and then land on the first heaven - our earth at the Mount of Olives. I believe God may want the second Heaven cleaned out from Satan and his demons before His Son starts to descend from the third Heaven. The Bible says that Gods saints will be coming back with Jesus when He comes back the second time. If Jesus and all of Gods saints are coming together at one time for this event, I believe God may want the second Heaven free and clear of any demons in this middle realm. Satan will obviously know this when he is cast down onto the earth, and the Bible even says from this point on, he knows his time is short and that is why he becomes so furious. Satan will thus have the last three and half years to wreak as much havoc as he can through the Antichrist and False Prophet before Jesus comes back and finally puts an end to his reign of terror. I really feel that God is going to give all of us an incredible history lesson when we see what happens when Satan “merges” with the Antichrist and False Prophet to cause as much destruction as they possibly can for the last three and half years - especially if the Church has already been raptured out before all of this begins to take place. Without God and His Church in the “big picture,” - man, in union with Satan and his fallen angels, will wreak nothing but pure havoc and destruction on a mass scale to a degree that no man would have ever thought was possible. For all those who think that man is basically “good,” and that we dont need God in our lives, and that we are all capable of creating paradise on our earth through our own efforts - these people will be shown first hand what will happen when the earth is left in the hands of humans under the influence of Satan and all of his demons. The result will end up being mass chaos and total destruction to a degree that the world has never seen before and will never see again! Jesus Himself said that had these days not been shortened by God the Father Himself, that no flesh would survive this horrible time of trouble. The Scripture Verse Here is the verse from Scripture that tells us exactly what will happen with this event.”And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon who was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down … Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them!Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the Devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelations 12: 7-17) The “woman” mentioned in the above verse is Israel. The “male child” that the woman had given birth to is Jesus. Notice that the “woman” Israel is given under the protection of a “great eagle” after Satan is cast down upon the earth. This protection is for a time and times and half of a time. We already know that this stands for three and half years from the prophecy of Daniel already talked about in one of my earlier end time articles. So we know that this is referring to the last three and half years of the Tribulation. As I stated in my article titled, “Basic Overview of Main End Time Event”, some people think that this “great eagle” may be the United States since we have the national symbol of an eagle. Our country is already on good terms with Israel and we obviously would be the most natural choice to protect Israel if we are still considered a super power and not under the control of the Antichrist at this time. Now that Satan, the Antichrist and False Prophet are given incredible authority and power to carry out this unholy reign of terror for three and half years, how does God go about getting anyone saved during these last days if the Church and His main body of believers have already been raptured out? For this answer, go to the next article titled “God’s 4 Avenues to Reach the Lost During the Tribulation.” God will arrange for an incredible counterbalance to take place during this time of trouble in an effort to get as many people saved as He possibly can. 40 Hours of Hell - Is it Time to Find a New Job?

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Cheryl Hall Where did the weekend go? Its Sunday night and although you had a lovely time leaving your butt imprint on the couch for the last 48 hours, suddenly theres a lurch in the pit of your stomach again. Yes, looming on the horizon, there is it, another Monday morning. Another Monday, youll face the gridlock and angrily express your dismay with the world with one finger and clutch the huge cup of coffee that youll need to drag yourself through the bore that is your job. The highlight of your day, other than seeing the clock hit 4:59 will of course be the secret glee you have knowing that youve spent hours of company time playing Solitaire and sending out countless resumes. You know youre a lousy employee, but in a tight job market, with younger and more qualified applicants taking greeter jobs at Wal-Mart, is it really time to find a new job? If loving what you do is the key ingredient to success, and your job gives you symptoms similar to dysentery, should you pack it in? Do you need a new attitude or a new career? If youre going to spend about 80,000 hours of your life at work, dont you deserve to like some of it? When is it time to move on? Before you change the objective paragraph on your resume to read: Doing anything other than what Im doing in this hellhole, make sure you answer the following questions. Did I ever love this job? If your job were a relationship, is it just on the rocks or was it just a time filler until Mr. or Miss Right came along? Remembering that in order to have gotten this job in the first place, at some point you actually asked for it. You actually decided that you had the qualifications to do it, you would enjoy coming there each day, and you saw some kind of potential for a future there. Was this a job that you took after a long bout with unemployment or did you actually see it as a step up from something else? Do I respect this job? OK, so maybe your job relationship needs some marriage counseling, but as the marriage counselor would tell you, all good relationships are built on respect. If you had to sum up your position in one sentence, what is it that you really do and do you find that an admirable thing to be doing? Do you respect the people you are working for and the company youre employed by? If not, would you want to do the same job for someone else? What do I dislike the most? Do you hate the job itself, as in the duties of the job? Or is it the people you work with? Getting a new job with a new job description can fix hating the work itself, but there will be difficult people to deal with anywhere you go. If theres a person making your life miserable, what can you do to make this relationship go smoothly? Theres always pretending that youve got something very contagious every time you think theyre approaching your cubicle, but what if you had a meeting and just confronted the issues? Before you say, Oh that would be a big mistake, think about it. Is leaving a job because of your inability to negotiate a compromise really a smart career move? Why not make an attempt to patch things over? Am I just bored? Maybe the reason youre staring at the clock is because thats all you have left to do. Bosses love employees who ask for more work. No, lets change that, bosses who worth working for love employees who ask for more work. Pinheads who are too mentally challenged to see you as a productive employee and would see your request as being a threat or a problem wont and then you know that working for them wouldnt ever be to your benefit. If you are working under a person who sees the value in an inspired employee though, your request for more will be met with enthusiasm and real thought. You wont know what you could have unless you asked. Do I just hate the pay? Again, ask for more work. An employer who sees you expanding in your current position and values the extra dollars you are creating for the company will see the fairness in spreading those dollars around to you. But if you ask for more money after putting in a week of late arrivals, long lunches, multiple chain letter emails and a request for a personal day, be prepared to hear, Are you kidding me with that? In order to be worth more, youve got to give more. If I left today, what would they say about me? Getting your recommendations in order should be your first priority if there is no love left for this job. If your current peers and boss would have to say, if they were honest, that you were a lousy employee with a lousy attitude, then youre not ready to leave. You need to network as if your life depended on it now. Find out what your predecessor did, why did they leave, what could you do to change positions there, who knows someone who knows they could get you a job? Without some solid leads and a few letters of reference, how are you going to land that job in utopia? Make sure you leave no stone unturned; if you leave after scouring all possibilities, then you can honestly say it was the company, not you. What would I do if time and money were no issue? Wow, an existential question right in the middle of Minesweeper? Yeah, I thought you might be ready for that. Would you have the same kind of job somewhere else? Or would you finally move to that cabin in the mountains and write the next Great American novel? Just knowing what you dont want is not enough; youve got to have an idea of what you do want to give your brain something to go after. What did I learn here and how can I apply it to the next job? If you know that this job is over and you are just bidding your time, thats great, as long as you take what you learned and apply it to the next position. Did you accept too little salary in desperation? Did you not ask enough questions about the details of this job? Did you know the expectations? Did you see the writing on the wall? If so, dont think of it as a mistake, think of it as a learning experience that you will use to interview for the next position a more wise and honest future employee. If you dont, then expect to be putting the polish on that resume again in the near future. How do you know if its the job or if its just you? After youve answered the above questions, you should have a pretty good idea. Its only been a failure if you didnt apply what you learned, whatever that may be. This job may have been the kick in the pants you needed to finally start a new career doing something you truly love. Whatever you decide to do, pay attention to the possibilities around you and take action! You deserve a job that brings you joy and success. Finding a new job isnt hard, even loving the job you have isnt hard, if you know what youre after. The Shoplifter Who Had A Stutter

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Steve Hill In this article I am going to write about an amazing incident which occured during one of the speech courses which I run in Birmingham. My name is Steve Hill and I have been running five-day courses to help people to overcome a stutter for the last ten years. A few years ago a client attended the course who was to lets say shock me in a big way, I have now knicknamed him, the stuttering thief. I originally held the courses from my home in Brixham, Devon. I had moved to Devon from my native Birmingham when I was around twenty-three years of age. As Devon is on the south-west coast of England and is basically too far for a lot of people to travel, I would hold one course per month in Birmingham, in my sisters flat. Birmingham for any reader who is unaware of its location is situated in the heart of England and is therefore accessible to the whole country. On this particular week I had a very nice client and we were getting on very well. His speech fluency was improving all the time as the course progressed and he had a good attitude. On the fourth day he started to really open up as his confidence was starting to increase. For a reason I still can not really understand he then started to describe one of his hobbies to me which was shoplifting! Now come on if you had a hobby of shoplifting would you tell anyone? I was not sure what to say but tried not to react in any abnormal way. On the fifth day, the course was nearing its end when I decided to have a short break. After making my client a drink, I went to the toilet. I had left my pen and pad on the coffee table but on my return could only see the pad. I searched for a short while but could not find the pen anywhere. I have to say that the thought had crossed my mind that perhaps this person had taken it. Whilst looking, I accidently on purpose knocked his jacket off his chair and guess what happened, my pen flew out of one its pockets. I could not believe it and all he could say was, how did that get in there. I was left wondering what else he had taken from my sisters flat! To this day I am still not sure of the answer. How to Choose the Right School For You

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Jackie Shapiro Now that the admission committees have handed you their decisions, it is time for you to choose which college to attend. For some, this choice is easy. Maybe you were admitted early decision or have a clear first choice. For others, the decision is more difficult. Perhaps you have not visited many of the schools on your list, maybe you and your parents disagree about what is best for your future, or perhaps you just cant seem to figure out what you want. No matter the reason, you must decide by the May 1st reply date. What should you do? Identify your options. Are you choosing between two schools or several? Have you narrowed down your choices? Are you comparing financial aid packages? Are you trying to get taken off a wait list at a school? What are the factors that you will use to make your decision? Expand your research. Now that you know what your options are, it is time to begin or continue your research. Hopefully you already know why each school is on your list. Review what you have learned and continue to learn about the schools. What are you looking for? What does each school offer? Consider how each school matches your interests: academic, extracurricular, social, and otherwise. Use the schools websites, talk to friends, e-mail professors, visit the campuses. Have discussions with your family and others you trust. If you have not already visited the schools on your list, now is the time. One college applicant, Scott, visited the schools on his list only after he received his acceptance letters. Doing so gave him a new perspective on his choices: I had applied to the University of Wisconsin-Madison on my counselors recommendation. I didnt really think I would ever go there because it was so far away from home and I always thought of Wisconsin as a place of pastures and cows. But when I visited, I felt at home. The students were friendly, the classes were tough, and I had no idea Madison had such a fun night life. Prioritize. Amanda, an aspiring professional dancer, knew she wanted to attend college. She felt good about her auditions, and was thrilled to be admitted to several schools. After narrowing down her choices to SUNY-Purchase and University of Michigan, Amanda realized she needed to learn more about each school. I found that the reputation of the schools said that Michigan had stronger academics and SUNY had better connections to the New York dance scene, which is where I want to establish a career. I am also really interested in literature and writing. Amanda had to prioritize. She asked herself, what role did she want her artistic and academic interests to play in her life? What was more important to her? Be honest with yourself. Radha, a senior from New Jersey, had narrowed down her acceptances to two schools: Boston University and University of Southern California (USC). Both schools were a good fit, as Radha wanted a city school with a lot of options and school spirit. After sorting out the pros and cons of each school, Radha was still stuck. Something else was bothering her. I asked, If both schools were close to home, which would you choose? Without hesitation, Radha replied, USC. I just loved my visit and really loved the students I met. Suddenly, we had uncovered the issue that was hindering Radha: she wanted to go to USC, but she did not want to go far from home. After our discussion, Radha talked about the issue with her family. As an older sister with divorced parents, Radha had secretly decided she needed to stay near her younger sister whom she often looked after. Discussing her concerns with her parents helped Radha make the brave decision to attend the school she wanted. By looking deeper into the issue that was really troubling herher fear of leaving homeRadha was able to make the decision that was best for her. It is important to remember that there are many factors that play into the decision of which school to attend. Going off to college often signifies the beginning of a more adult life, so this decision can be influenced by anxieties about leaving home. Go with your gut. Weve been through the rational decision-making processes like making pro and con lists and prioritizing. However, intuition is often our best guide. Adam, now a few years out of college, recently said, I dont know why exactly I chose Georgetown, but as soon as I got in I got excited. Somehow I just knew it would be the best place for me. And I was right. Pay attention to your gut. Trust yourself. You cant be wrong. Here is the good news: there is no such thing as the wrong choice. Like any experience, college is what you make of it. Take advantage of opportunities, choose challenging classes, become involved in your interests, and your decision will have been the right one. Chances are you will be happy at any of the schools on your list. After all, you applied to them because you discovered they were good matches for you. If you later find you would rather be somewhere else, you can always consider the transfer option. But most students are happy with the choice they made, and graduates often look back, saying: I am glad I went where I did, but I think I would have been happy and successful at many colleges. –Jackie Shapiro, MA IvyWise, LLChttp://www.ivywise.com Jaclyn Shapiro, MACollege Admissions CounselorIvyWise, LLC140 W 57th StreetNew York, NY(212) 262-3500 http://www.ivywise.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jackie_Shapiro http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Choose-the-Right-School-For-You&id=27550 zolpidem suicide when will zolpidem tartrate ambien be generic in the usa bad stuff about ativan memory loss ambien

Card-making With Recyclables

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Belinda Osgood Crafts are often expensive to set up, but they do not have to be. Card making is one craft in which it is completely possible to operate just for the cost of some card stock, envelopes, a good pair of paper scissors, glue, and your imagination. It is unnecessary to buy additional supplies unless you want to, and can afford to. With these basic supplies and items from around your home, you can create wonderful, personal works of art. You save money making them, and you save money by giving them away, instead of purchasing printed cards from the store. Card-making is a rewarding hobby, and everyone likes to receive something that was made just for them. The tips listed below not only save your wallet, but are also beneficial for the environment. Exploring recycling in the art of making handmade cards is an incredible resource — for your creativity and your fingers. Some of the tips listed mention additional resources like stamps and punches. They are not necessary, but do make the most of opportunities. Local craft groups, friends, or a family member may have resources you can borrow. Use spare paper to punch, cut, or stamp a supply of images and designs for later use. Check out your childrens craft supplies, too childrens rubber stamps make a great background when stamped repeatedly over the surface of a card. Here is a list of Top Ten household items to recycle. Why not springboard your own unique ideas from these? 1. Old Greeting cards The backs make good bases for layering or stamping of images. The front can be cut up for borders, wording, and images. Take smaller elements from an image to complement your own design. Received more than one card of the same design use repeated elements for your own form of paper tole. 2. Wallpaper Do you have some old wallpaper lying around after finishing the childrens bedroom, or the dining room? Cut out the individual elements of large patterns to make into decoupage or paper tole. Use medium-sized pictures and patterns spaced symmetrically to create new patterns. For smaller patterns or no pattern, use for backgrounds, layering and paper piecing. Extension tip: If you are fortunate enough to know someone that works in a home decorating store then you may be able to get, either free or for a small charge, an out of date wallpaper sample book. These are rich in textures, finishes, and colours. Some contain border strips as well for added creativity. 3. Magazines If you do not but them yourself, ask around your friends and family. Im sure they will soon be deluging you with their off casts. Magazines are a wealth of pre-coloured wording, pictures, and colours. Pictures can be used effectively by combining with other complementary elements to make a stunning card. For example, I cut a picture of a giraffe from a magazine. I made a stencil of a giraffes skin, then transferred the pattern to my card with a sponge and some black ink. In the center of the card I layered a piece of cork sheet (wood-grain patterned paper or corrugated cardboard would work just as well) with glossy, black paper cut from a magazine advertisement. Then I glued the giraffe picture on top. I finished it off by adding a couple of small leaf shapes, cut from a picture of someones lawn, in the bottom corner. I find the greatest advantage to magazines is the textured colours, such as the leaves in my example above. It is often difficult to match a colour piece of paper or card to the effect you are wanting. Rather than buy special printed products, scout through magazines for suitable colours and textures. Blended colours on advertisement backgrounds often make for great punch art. If the punches will not cut through properly, insert a piece of plain used printer paper with the magazine page and it will cut perfectly. Also consider: used wrapping paper, advertising leaflets, and old business documents. 4. Sewing Supplies Buttons, zips, ribbons, and small pieces of fabric, tulle, or lace all make for great accents on a card. Plait the left over lengths of embroidery cottons to make smart trims, or tie several colours into a bow to match the main card design. 5. Used A4 paper Some paper is suitable for use in your card making e.g. punching and layering. A lot of paper is not usable, either because it has been folded or crumpled, or text is visible on both sides. These sheets of paper I use as gluing surfaces for glue sticks, liquid or spray glue, or with a brush. Discard the piece of paper when it has no space left that isnt sticky. I find this works better than newsprint, which may leave black smudges on the good side of your card. 6. Plastic lids, bottles and pottles Instead of buying a special template or cutting system to enable a perfect circle, save up a variety of different sizes of round containers or lids from a small pill bottle to a cottage cheese pottle lid. Ensure they are well washed and thoroughly dried first, then use as a cost-free template for drawing circles. Stack inside one another for easy storage. Look for oval pottles too, which make a nice change. These containers are useful to hold leftover punched shapes. When I visit people who own punches I do not, I spend time punching shapes out and then store in separate containers for use at my leisure. 7. Cardboard Old coloured card folders can form the basis of the card itself, if it is clean and undamaged. Otherwise cut smaller pieces from it for layering, punching or making borders. The kind of plain brown or grey card that comes in packaging, such as business shirts, is also useful. With this you can make templates from colouring book pictures or images offered on-line for the purpose. If you cut shapes out from the card, use it as a stencil. Corrugated card has a great texture; I prefer the kind that is not sandwiched between two flat sheets of card, for the crinkles are what make it interesting. There are specialised tools to recreate this corrugated effect, but you can colour the brown kind easily using paint. 8. Lolly and chocolate wrappers Bright and sparkly; colourful and fun! There are numerous ways to use these delightful little scraps of paper and foil. Use in layering and paper piecing, or cut into shapes to add a shimmering accent to any scene. Try this fun idea: Draw on your card the simple outline of a fish. Cut circles of foil wrappers I dont recommend punching and stagger them to fill in the body of the fish. It doesnt matter if the circles are imperfect, elliptical, or uneven sizes. Use smaller ones to do the narrower pieces of the fish and the larger ones to fill the middle. Overlapping the circles means that most imperfections can be hidden, but the flaws do add charm to the overall effect. Glue strips of paper, foil, or ribbon in a fan pattern to fill in the tail. Lastly, draw an eye. Add background detail such as seaweed, air bubbles, or smaller fish with coloured pencils or pens and youre done. 9. Business Cards Changing jobs these days is quite a common occurrence and what do you do with all those old business cards from the previous place of employment? These are ideal for using on cards since they are uniformly-sized, perfect rectangles, on good card stock, and usually the back has no text. Used plain they are great for layering. If the cards are textured, accent it by sponging lightly with coloured ink. Alternatively, stamp an image directly onto the card and colour or decorate as desired. 10. Old Jewelry Broken or unusable chains, fake jewels, beads, and simulated pearls all make elegant embellishments. Bought embellishments are pretty and effective, but can get quite costly. Items from last years Christmas crackers make great 3-D additions as well. Many other materials around the home have a use in your card making. Before you throw something in the trash, consider how you could use it to add texture, colour, interest, and embellishment to your cards, or storage for your supplies. Happy creating! Musical Selections for your Wedding

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By Andy Powers Depending upon religious, cultural, or economic backgrounds, couples who are planning to get married tend to feel (almost subconsciously, perhaps) that their musical preferences are fairly irrelevant to what sort of music needs to be played at their ceremony. They don’t consider the fact that there is no hard and fast rule that states that all musical pieces played must be either The Wedding March or Canon in D, and it all must be played on a single piano or organ. Those songs, played in that manner, are very traditional and very simple. They’re certainly functional as musical backdrops for your ceremony, but they aren’t required or even necessarily desired by everyone. Here are some options you may want to consider: Choral-only performances - Vocal performances, if you have access to a choir, can be either a hauntingly beautiful experience (think of the choral performance from My Best Friend’s Wedding, for example), or a get-out-of-your-seat experience that will uplift your soul - and everything between. Vocal performances have the capacity to sound more compelling, intimate, and, wellpersonal. Definitely consider finding a local choir to at least get a sample of what they can do; most choirs are willing to perform for free, or at most, a nominal fee. Strings - A violinist here, a cellist there, and you’ve got yourself something special. Nothing says “romance” like strings, and you will find that your ceremony has taken on a very romantic feel in the classical sense. For the ultimate in traditional musical beauty, the employment of a string section is a great way to go. Pre-recorded music - Obviously, you have access to an infinite variety of musical styles right at your fingertips if you’re willing to compile a mix CD; some people think that wedding music must always be “live,” but that really isn’t so; The sheer variety of choices available if you go the pre-recorded route make this a strong sell for couples who either don’t wish to confine their musical selections to a single type, or who are working off of a budget that doesn’t allow for live performances. Piano / Organ - If you do feel safe sticking with a pianist / organist, understand that you can request other songs besides the aforementioned two in the above paragraph. Most musicians would be happy to play anything you would request, as long as they have sufficient time to feel that they’ve mastered it. Don’t expect most musicians to be willing (or able) to instantly whip up an “improv” performance. No matter what you end up choosing, there’s no need to stick with musical selections that you find dull or over-done just for the sake of tradition. There is more music you could potentially use in your wedding than you could listen to in several lifetimes - don’t be afraid to experiment with something you like just because it hasn’t been conventionally used before! The Benefits of Titanium Wedding Rings

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Eric Morris Titanium rings with inlays of other metals like gold, platinum or silver can be found for a good price. More men than women wear titanium wedding rings, but there are several models that are fitting for a bride. A wide variety of titanium wedding rings are available, encompassing nearly every style imaginable. Two of the most popular styles are plain titanium wedding rings and titanium rings with an inlay of another metal. Titanium rings do not dull, rust, or corrode over time. The rings are available in many different shapes. The two most popular shapes are flat and domed bands. Flat bands are thin while domed bands have more depth. Aside from the different shapes available, buyers can purchase rings with many different unique designs cut into the ring or can have inscriptions engraved in the interior or exterior of the ring to make them more personal. The prices for these titanium wedding rings varies greatly, depending on the design and the grade of titanium used. Some cost as little as $60 while others go for well over $300. For buyers who want something more elaborate, titanium wedding rings with inlays of other metals are also available. These rings usually consist of a titanium band with a smaller amount of platinum, yellow gold, white gold, or silver added to provide decoration. Since these rings contain a quantity of a precious metal, they are usually more expensive than wedding rings made purely out of titanium. Titanium Rings Info provides detailed information about titanium wedding, engagement and promise rings, as custom, black, and mens titanium rings. This is the Only Article You’ll Ever Need on Getting Women

Friday, March 14th, 2008

By Jeffery S. Miller It seems that everyone has advice lately about relationships. Some of the advice is good, some of it is just rehashed poetry. I’ve been around the block a few times and I’ll show what some of my findings have been. 1. If you approach a woman in a setting such as at a party, bar, or whatever; If she says no, you might as well leave. Do not go any further. Do not ask another woman out in that place. You are blackmarked. It is over! You will not find another woman in that place. It sounds silly, but its the gospel. Just don’t do it. 2. If you’re shy approaching women tell yourself in your mind that you are the greatest lover in the world. Go to the bathroom and say it to yourself in the mirror, if you have to. Just get it in your head that you are the greatest and it will radiate to others. 3. Do not be something that you are not. Do not pretend to be a player if you’re not. You’ll look dumb. Real players do not go up and play the card you see on tv. Most women with intelligence can spot a phony, and you will be labeled as such if you put on a front. The best way to approach a woman is with the classic, “How’s your night?” This also works well, “How was your day?” Women love it when a man shows an interest in their well being. 4. Treat the woman like she’s the only lady in the world. Ask her questions about her job, pets, just things like this. Do not ask too personal of questions in the beginning. Just become friends. 5. Make eye contact. A woman knows how to melt a man with a certain look of her eyes. Do not wear sunglasses. Glasses are ok, if you have to wear them. Just don’t cover up your eyes. This is real important. 6. Know the flirting signs. Learn that when a woman plays with her hair, it means she’s enjoying your company. If she touches you, touch back. Don’t go overboard with the touching. If she brushes you, “accidentally” brush her back. If she “accidentally” kicks your feet, bump back. It’s all a game. You have to know how to play it. 7. Do not take phone calls during your conversation. Turn the phone on vibrate or just turn it off. I guarantee, if you don’t want a second chance with her take the phone call. It’s one of the rudest things that you can do. Do not talk on the cell phone. 8. When the woman takes a drink, you should take a drink. Try to build a rhythm. The more insync you become, the more chemistry there will be. 9. Take a genuine interest in her. Repeat her name before you ask a question. Make her think that she’s the one, right now. 10. The best way to seal the deal is with the classic, “How’s a guy like me gonna get to know you more?” Do this after the chemistry has started. Don’t do it in the beginning. You have to close with this and she’s all yours. I’ve just showed you, the reader how to get the girl. I should be paid for my knowledge. Just kidding. I’m telling you this works, now go out and get it done. Jeffery S. Miller is the author of Higgins: An American Story. Nutrition and Depression

Monday, March 10th, 2008

By Jaklina Trajcevska Depression is a real illness which affects so many people. In fact, many people will, at some stage in their life feel the effects of some form of depression. Depression usually occurs when there is a chemical imbalance in the brain. The imbalance occurs with serotonin - an important neurotransmitter, which helps to transfer messages throughout the structures of the brain’s nerve cells. Serotonin is the neurotransmitter that controls how we feel - happy or sad. If the levels of serotonin are awry, depression can result. Anti-depressants work by regulating the amount of serotonin, to keep the brain functioning properly and keep depression at bay. The advice below may be a means to assist those with mild to moderate depression, who are not already taking medication, but it can be an adjunct to conventional treatment, for those taking medication. Please consult your medical practitioner if you would like to try any of the following (as it may interfere with medication - anti-depressants or other medication). Vitamin B6 Vitamin B6 is another useful nutrient and is the precursor to tryptophan - this means your body needs to have enough Vitamin B6 in order to make tryptophan (which is an essential amino acids - meaning the body cannot manufacture it and it is necessary to be taken in from foods ingested). Vitamin B6 can be taken in the form of a supplement or through foods high in vitamin B6, such as: yellowfin tuna, beef liver, potato, fortified cereals, banana, chicken breast. Tryptophan There are some foods which actually help the body make “happy hormones” - these foods are: low fat meat (chicken / turkey especially), milk and other low fat dairy, eggs. The happy hormone is tryptophan, an essential amino acids which helps to regulate levels of serotonin in the brain and has the effect of making a person feel happier. Exercise Study after study has shown that moderate and regular exercise will help with mild to moderate depression to the same level as medication. The only hard thing to do is to actually get up and do the exercise, which is hard if you feel even a little down. Just try to do it and you will soon start to feel a little better with each session. Avoid Refined Sugar to Regulate Blood Sugar LevelsIf your sugar levels are erratic from high intakes of highly refined and sugary foods, this will wreak havoc on your emotional stability. Foods that contain high levels of sugar (or are highly refined carbohydrates) make your blood sugar levels go too high very quickly and then drop again very quickly. This is not good for healthy individuals, but worse if you have any type of mental or physical affliction, due to the detrimental effects of the sugar fluctuations. It is well known that not having stable and consistent sugar levels is not beneficial in many ways and can make a person feel anxious and nervous (low sugar levels), while high sugar levels can create artificial euphoria and feeling like one is “drunk”. Keeping your sugar levels consistent, by eating wholesome, healthy foods, with a little, low fat, good quality protein at each meal, will really go a long way to ensuring your depression is not exacerbated. Always eat breakfast - have some cereal, milk and fruit, or eggs and fruit. Try to make sure you eat some healthy snacks in between your main meals (good snacks are some crispbread with some hommous or some low fat cheese and tomatoes or some nuts and fresh fruit). Routine Get a regular routine going - try to do the same things at the same time - this will help you by ensuring your life is stable and consistent. Have Medical Tests There are several health conditions that can have depression as a symptom - so you should ensure that you have had a full medical check up to rule out any of those conditions.
